Because glamping’s what we know and all we do, we’re uniquely well placed to pass on everything we’ve learned from this exciting and fast-growing market. We’ve spent the last five years researching, testing, fine-tuning and re-testing what glamping’s all about, and teaming up with us brings you a complete service.

During this time we’ve not only learned about the sector itself, but about the level of expertise in related disciplines which you need to succeed in the industry. That’s why we offer you access to specialists in finance, interior and landscape design, architecture, planning, marketing, graphic design, purchasing, installation, training, translation and copywriting.

The team

Simon Thomason

Managing Director

Glisten Camping was Simon’s initial concept in 2013. He is still its driving force and has delivered every part of the guest experience from day one.

His degree in Travel and Tourism Management led him to work on European marketing for a large hotel chain, after which - following some world travel - he was an advertising agency account manager for brands such as Hilton. In 2005, he and his wife moved to Cornwall, where working for an interior and graphic design agency saw him specialise in numerous tourism brands and contribute to award-winning projects including Watergate Bay Hotel & Extreme Academy, and the St Moritz Hotel.

Simon has since spent years learning all there is to know about glamping, throwing his energy and focus at this growing sector and the huge opportunities it offers.
